“Islam in the Context of World History and Social Studies”
Audience: 7th-12th graders
With a teacher’s invitation, a speaker will deliver a 40-90 minute presentation
using transparencies. We cover a variety of topics such as Islamic beliefs and
practices, Muslim populations around the world, and Islamic holidays and
celebrations.
This presentation is intended to supplement classes where Islam, and other
religions, is already part of the curriculum.

made by Muslims, Christians, and Jews during the pinnacle of Islamic
civilization, highlighting advances made in foods, beverages, clothing,
furniture, and the fields of literature, arts, science, medicine, astronomy, and
much, much more! This presentation is suitable for required world history
