teens in New York. When she graduated from high school she moved to
Pakistan where she lived for seven years. She received her Bachelors
degree in Psychology and her Masters in International Relations. She is
currently living in Omaha and has been happily married for six year. |

Dr. Liwaru became a Muslim 40 years ago. He was a captain in the U.S. Army where he served as a clinical psychologist. He is a very experienced speaker. He is the father of 10 and the grandfather of 39. Dr. Liwaru is the coauthor of the Muslim Family Reader which is used as a text book in many Islamic schools in the US and as a cultural guide for Peace Corp volunteers. He is the Amir of the Islamic Mourid Community of Omaha. |

Maisha is a retired local business owner. A graduate of Southern Illinois University, she has spent many years introducing the facts about Islam to a variety of groups in California, Ohio, Missouri and Nebraska. She is a well-respected mother of 10 and grandmother of 39. Maisha is the co author of the Muslim Family Reader which is used as a text book in many Islamic schools in the US and as a cultural guide for Peace Corp volunteers. She is also president of the Heartland Muslim Women's Network. She became an ISBN speaker in 2000 and is currently the coordinator for the program. |

Sharif and his wife Gabrielle have three children. He moved from California in 1992 and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is now working on his masters. Sharif was raised in Islam by his parents Dr. Saidi and Maisha Liwaru. He's been speaking publicly for a variety of causes and engagements for 19 years. He's given speeches, led discussion seminars and panel discussions, and presented at trainings and workshops. He became and ISBN speaker in 2004. Sharif is the President of the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation, Vice President of the African Culture Connection and Program Coordinator for the Alumni Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. |

Naser Alsharif |

Dr. Alsharif received his Ph.D. from Creighton University Medical Center (CUMC) in Toxicology. He is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Sciences at Creighton. Alsharif was acknowledged by his students by winning outstanding teacher awards and by his colleagues in the school of pharmacy and health professionals by winning teaching and service awards. Dr. Alsharif is a twice winner of the Innovation in Teaching Award Competition. He is an innovative teacher and respected researcher,
Dr. Alsharif is an American-Muslim of Palestinian Ancestry. He is active in the community to educate the people of Nebraska about Islam, the Arab and Muslim World and the Palestinian plight. He is the President of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (Omaha Chapter); Advisory Board, Conference for Inclusive Community (Midlands Region), secretary and board member of the American Institute of Islamic Culture Studies and a board member of the Trifaith Initiative of Nebraska.
